Murder on the Way to Mars

What if, in the near future, humans colonize Mars, and flocks of ordinary people begin immigrating? What if three disparate individuals are selected to form a new marshals service on Mars, none of whom have any experience with the marshals service or with Mars? And what if, on the way there, this novice team finds themselves leading a complex shipboard murder investigation that tests their wits and challenges their legitimacy?
